Piling commences at 40 Leadenhall Street in the City of London

Updated: Jul 12, 2020

The £875 million development by Henderson Global Investors on the site known as the Leadenhall Triangle has now commenced following the enabling works undertaken by Keltbray. Mace will complete the construction of the 910,000 square feet development which will contain 890,000 square feet of workspace and 20,000 square feet of retail.

Ranging in height between 7 and 34 stories the design by Make Architects has been dubbed Gotham City. In what has been announced as one of the largest developments to have ever received planning in the financial district, it will be able to house up to 10,000 office workers. Current opinion is that the shortage of high quality office developments in the City will create demand by the time the development is completed in three years time.

Once complete the development is expected to have a GDV of £1.4bn.
