ArcelorMittal's prefabrication business is transitioning through a period of growth, with additional work coming from HS2, Thames Tideway and a variety of other infrastructure work, as well as the increase in offsite fabrication methods to reduce the reliance on the volume of workers physically present on construction projects.

Conveniently positioned at the mouth of the River Medway, ArcelorMittal's prefabrication facility is situated at Chatham Docks and provides the perfect location for receiving raw materials from the European mills.  Similarly, they also taking advantage of the ability to distribute their prefabricated materials by barge to central London or by road, due to it being adjacent to the motorway network.
